2016 was a warm, early vintage. Our Reserve Shiraz grapes ripened beautifully to give intense raspberry and plum flavours. We co-fermented it with one percent Viognier to lift the perfume and add silkiness, then we later blended in a small amount of floral Mourvèdre to complete the wine. Matured in Italian coopered French oak, the wine is rich, spicy, velvety and complex. It should age well for many years.
